We are so excited about our Portland Nanny Curriculum. The inspiration behind the Curriculum is to have each nanny focus on enriching children in a natural, non-formal way, and to be able to categorize and communicate the specific areas that we focused on directly to the parents.

This Curriculum helps nannies focus on constructive and enriching play while in your home. Our nannies focus on five core areas:

  • Language Development (examples: reading, singing and story-telling)

  • Emotional Development (examples: expressing emotions safely and with words, empathizing with other peoples’ emotions)

  • Social Development (examples: establishing positive and rewarding relationships)

  • Physical Development (examples: practicing fine and gross motor skills through yoga, recess play, interactive songs)

  • Cognitive Development (examples: puzzles, scavenger hunts, engaging conversations)

At the end of each shift you can expect your nanny to leave a detailed care card that will fill you in on what was productively practiced throughout that day!

Totes come in all colors and each contains four curriculum packets separated out by age; infant, toddler, preschool & elementary.

Using the care cards (pictured), nannies will keep a record of the areas they worked on each day. Not all five areas are necessarily recorded each day.
